I don't get it. Doesn't your car have folding mirrors? Mine does. Do the 92-93's don't have them? Or are the JDM's better in some way? Please explain this to me...

Do you have to push them, or is there a button?

I have a button on the mirror control, you push it and they fold in. Push it again and they swing back out. Fully motorised.

Ok, that was my other guess... power mirrors. [sarcasm]Wow[/sarcasm] That's neat, but there's no real purpose except bragging rights and purely for fun. I guess if you have to, or like to, park in tight places, I can see them coming in handy. I've folded mine for that reason. They probably have good use in Japan.

when i bought my car, the driver side view mirror was broken and the dealer quoted me 200+ dollars for the replacement part... i called some junkyards and they were charging me 75 bucks for just one mirror, i found the jdms for 75 on ebay, but they didn't come with switch or relay... a cool thing the guy recommended i do is that when i get my alarm installed, to get them wired with the alarm, so they fold in when u arm your alarm, i think thats cool.

anways, if anyone knows where i can buy just the switch and relays, please let me know... thanx omair@softhome.net

I've wanted to get JDM power folding mirrors for my car for a long time. I think they would be a great addition to my car. If anyone knows where I can get a set of them and how to install them.... let me know.

Thats exactly what mine does, it really turns heads especially cos my alarm is full closure so I pull up and get out and arm as i'm walking away so all the windows shut and the mirrors fold in.

I posted a link to a good write-up for JDM folding mirrors on a civic last week in this forum.

FYI: I have heard that having JDM mirrors on a USDM car will reduce your field of vision. One mirror (can't remember which side) is more concave or convex than the other (cant remember which one) to account for the diffrent angle that you view them from. . .hence the little "objects in mirror. . ." warning on one glass. Since JDM mirrors wouyld be from a RHD car, the mirrors would be on the wrong sides. I think you might just be able to switch the glass lenses from your USDM mirrors onto the JDM housings though. Again, I'm not positive this is true, but it hascome up before.
