jdm fogs: is this the relay i need?

I just got my jdm bumper from fedex today, and i had a couple questions


is this the fog relay???



heres a closer picture




and what is this thing??, why are the bulbs behind the plate? do they have some kind of transparent vanity plates in japan??

no, that's not the relay, I have no idea what that thing is. Probably something that's pre-installed on our cars that is part of the Fog system. No clue about the bulb behind the plate.

The relay looks just any of the other small relays in our cars... I know there's a few in the underdash fuse box. I think I have a handful of them lying around. $4 (shipped) gets you one.

You can buy them at pretty much any auto shop, i know i've seen them around.

They still sell them at Majestic, thats where I got mine.
Boy they coulda sprayed that bumper down or something.....dirty

If you want the relay, along with a cool extension (harness) for it, Advance auto has a fog light kit for 10 bucks. It's a third of the cost of just the relay from honda, and it plugs right in.

I just wired up a regular bosch relay. After trying to wire it the way some people on here said, I finally figured out the RIGHT way to do it.

I thought the relay was like hiding inside the car lol, i guess im wrong, but thought it was pre-built.

it is all pre-wired
but if you read the directions on majestic
it says that the plave where the relay goes is underneath the steering column

youll LOVE them once you get them on.
for like 3 months after i got mine working, my relay would loudly buzz when they were on........but last weekend i changed the fuse and POOF no more noise!! im LOVING it!
