JDM fog light switch wiring help

I recently purchased a set of JDM fog lights with clear lenses (yes i know yellow is cooler, but they would look like crap with my car), and just finished installing them in my car. Everything hooked up without a hitch, relay subharness, relay, fog lights, carbon fiber bezels, etc.
However, they came with a JDM switch:

my question is how do you wire this up to work with the oem fog light harness:

I saw another thread that showed a guy that used a paperclip to short out the harness, and while that may be an option down the road if I can't get this to work, I would like to try and use this switch.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

PS I did search before I posted this, but many of the older threads have broken photo links.

PPS Long shot, but, if anyone has a USDM OEM fog light switch, and would be willing to sell it, please let me know

Got this from Socalprelude

FOR EVERYONE WITH JDM SWITCH:

This outlines the process for wiring the JDM switch into the OEM wiring. However my outline stems from my 94 prelude. Luckily the same basic wiring technique and directions apply for 92-93 preludes (just that the location is at the driver side tweeter cover and not the center console)

Unfortunately guys, the JDM switch requires a bit more work to wire up. However, it's not too bad (and actually a bit more fun).

If you havent noticed, the 6 pin white connector plug we just found will not plug into the jdm switch, so it's going to be our job to rewire some things. We are basically going to connect the wires from the 6 pin white connector (the one we just found) to the pin plug from the jdm plug (the one that came plugged into the jdm switch).

Using some wire cutters Go ahead and cut the 6 pin white connector, the one we just found, off. Then using either a small blade or some wire stripper, expose some of the metallic wire from each of the three wires from the harness (not from the plug).

Unfortunately i dont have a pic of this because i'm doing this write up after having installed the lights, however it's pretty self explanatory: just strip some of the rubber lining off to expose the metallic wire.

Now go over to the pin plug from your jdm switch and expose some metallic wire from it's three lines.

Now, before connecting anything yet, take a look at where youre going to mount the switch. Unfortunately since we have the JDM switch we cannot pop the switch in its "OEM intended spot" so were going to have to relocate it. Fortunately we are given ample places to mount it right next to the armrest (as shown below)

Sadly, the cables from the OEM harnass are not long enough to reach back to that location, so were going to have to extend them to make the connection from the OEM harnass to the new spot for the JDM switch.

You can either extend the wiring starting at the jdm pin plug or at the OEM cables we just exposed: it's really all the same thing. I did it from the OEM wires we just exposed, so i'll explain in that order.

Grab some of that extra wire you armed yourself with and cut off three pieces of equal length. What length you use is up to you, however remember that the cup holder will have to fit in the spot through which youre running the extra wire...so try not to make it "straight accross". instead make something long enough that can run through the edge and up into the switch.

Now just connect the extra wire you cut to the OEM plug wires via some crimpers.

NOTE: if youve never crimped before dont fret, it's an easy task. All you have to do is grab one exposed side of metallic cable, push it into one of the ends of the crimper (into the little metal inner) and simply squeeze the outer part of the crimper with some plyers to lock the wire inside. Repeat the same thing with the other wire. Techincally you dont have to have the wires touching, because the metallic inner will be enough of a conductor to guide the current to the other wire...but, you dont want to leave the wire hanging to far out of the crimper because with one tug the wire could easily be pulled out. so make sure you get most of it inside the crimper before squeezing them.

Next comes the most important part: connecting the colored wires. Now, as you noticed the colored wires from the JDM pin plug dont exactly match up with the OEM wires from the harnass, so were gonna have to match these ones up ourselves.

Just follow this guide (thanks once again to Paperchasin for these wiring directions)

JDM PIN PLUG------EXTRA WIRE------------OEM WIRES FROM HARNESS
Red/Yellow-----------extra wire----------------Red/Yellow
Black-------------------extra wire----------------Red/Green
Red/Black------------extra wire----------------Orange

go ahead and connect the wires utilizing this connection guide.
For example, lets say you have the Red/Yellow side from the OEM harness. Since you extended this with the extra cable, take the end of the cable connected to the Red/Yellow OEM side and crimp it to the Red/Yellow cable from the JDM pin plug.

Do this for all three cables, making sure to match the colors correctly.

It should end up looking like this:

Go ahead and plug the JDM pin plug (which should now be wired to the OEM harnass cables) to the JDM fog light switch and place it in it's spot. Now it should look like this:

Thanks for the reply.

Few questions though.

My switch has 5 wires. Red, brown, yellow, pink, and grey.
Could i have an incorrect switch?

Update:
OK, so i actually tracked down the stock the stock oem switch that goes next to the emergency blinker.

Wired everything up and everything works.
However, the little bulb was burned out so went to honda and got a new bulb. Dropped it in no problem, and everything works, fog lights turn on and everything

but

now, after putting in a new bulb, there is a loud noticable buzz comming from under the dash area. It sounds like its coming from the relay, but only when the fog light switch is not pressed in. It doesnt do it when my headlights arent on, or if my headlights and foglights are on, only when the headlights are, foglights arent/button not pressed in.

I will prob leave it pressed in, and its not a really big deal, but just wondering if this might cause a problem. Should i just get a new relay?

thanks in advance

Did you ever figure out the buzzing? I have the same problem now. I used my Cruise control switch to work my fogs though!

who told you that the yellow were cooler? That's absurd. Not everyone thinks that. Do what YOU want. Be in tune with your star player.

Never really figured out the buzzing. As long as the switch is depressed it doesnt buzz. About 60% of the time that the switch is not depressed it buzzes. I think its prob due to a shoddy relay. I just leave it pressed in and kinda forgot about it.
BTW the white does look much better on my car (dont mind the bugs she needs a wash!)
