well when people with hondas get b16's and sh|t, they're jdm correct? well if i had a 4th gen and the miles got real high, i would just do an engine swap. JDM engine would be fine right? i wouldnt have to get USDM right? also, where are ur favorite places online to buy aftermarket car parts for 4th gen ludes?

from what i heard, it's not the matter that it's not clean, just that if they really wanna be a$$ about it, the vin # is not US vin #
What VIN#? The code below the engine code stamp? I don't know....I think most states besides California don't care. They popped my hood, checked it over, strapped it on the dyno thing, ran it, passed with flying colors.

All engines need to be EPA certified (and in CA whatever certification they have). It doesn't matter how clean they are. I believe JDM standards are even high than EPA. Technically, JDM engines would be illegal here but I have never heard of anyone being called on this. The inspectors do not have any easy way to tell where an engine came from. They just go by the VIN number on the car and assume the engine is the original.

no, the wire harness on the car it comes from might be different do to the fact that the ecu is on the other side but people just use their original wire harness anyway.
