jdm engine project running rich!!!!why???

I not so recently put a jdm h22a engine into my lude after the previous reached 200k. i didn't change out the ecu to jdm. however i have bought an apexi safc vtec controller, and have just left it sitting forever and really want it to work again soon, question is what can be the problem, fuel regulator? usdm ecu? disconnect my fuel injector resistor box? need tuning? would a ngk afx air/fuel monitor thing be good, tells you how to tune it? second question is why aren't the fans running? it pisses me off. somebody please help if you've been in this type of crap.

What exactly is your problem? You don't really say as far as I can tell, just that your safc has been sitting for a while...
You're gonna get a lot of haters on that safc.
Likely, you'll hear people telling you to throw it away and get a hondata.
Hopefully you'll figure it out, I'll keep an eye on the thread.

you need to figure out the problem first before you install anything aftermarket.

How exactly do you know your car is running rich?

i know it is running rich from all the dark smoke that is pouring out the exhaust and the fuel gauge decrease dramatically while just at idle. i just finished wiring the safc and haven't tuned it yet, cause i dont know what the hell i am doing and dont want to screw up the settings. i just thought that might help a mechanic said that it could be that there isn't a second o2 sensor, but i think thats bull, wouldn't that cause a wide band type affect though.

1. get a real mechanic who knows what he's doing to diagnose it, there are too many variables to be able to diagnose this correctly online.

2. fuel gauge decreasing rapidly could be a fuel leak

3. why did you wire in the VAFC when the car isn't running right to begin with? you are just complicating matters by adding more variables

4. there is only 1 o2 sensor on pre 1995 preludes. it's an obd1 car.

Took the words right outta my mouth..
I really suggest you do some reading.. I hope you're able to get this worked out though..
Trust me, i know how frustrating it is to have a big issue with your ride..
