Does anyone know if it is posible to install the japanies in-dash TV into a 93 si? one of my friends can get them i believe and i think it would be the sh*t to have one in the USA.
TV Codes or whatever, I forget the exact description.... but basically we use different standards.... Like you can't play a US DVD in a Japanese DVD Player, a US PSX game in a JDM PSX... and I think the same holds true for TV and TV signalling...

I agree...I am pretty sure they just took a little 4" screen and mounted it behind there. It would be pretty easy actually and those screens are pretty cheap, but seems kinda pointless since it's so small.

Just curious.
It's all in the question...

When he said 'the japanies in-dash TV', I automatically thought of the optional TV. But, he really didn't specify. SiLudeH23A, if your friend can get his hands on the origianl JDM optional TV...you da man! (if you can get it to work)

OK guys, lets think about this one for a second.
the fuel & water temp gauge is NOT replaced.
what side of the car do people sit in over in Japan?
the RIGHT side. That would make the passenger side the LEFT side, which means that fuel / water temp would be to the RIGHT of the clock in that picture. look where the warning lights are guys. they are in their stock location right above that.
the JDM TV is not a direct plug-in because the gauge/warning light cover is reversed on left-hand-drive cars. You can't really modify it to fit, because that clear plastic has a black plastic that is on the back of it, everywhere except where there is a warning light / gauge. you can see in the picture below, that it only has a small window of actual transparency.
