JDM Climate Control used as regular USDM Climate Control?

I tried to search but didn't really find anything. Is there a way you can wire up the JDM Climate Control (button section) to control air temp and fan speed etc like the stock unit. Like is there a way just to make the JDM buttons funtion like the USDM buttons and not actually have the Auto Climate stuff.

Kinda interested in that instead of fixing the solder points on mine. Could I just replace it with the JDM unit?

No, you can't. The USDM is a mechanical control, while the JDM is electronic. You would need to put servo motors in for the air mix control. If you're going to do that, then you might as well do the rest of the job. It would be easier to just fix your USDM unit, then try and rig the JDM unit.

sorry, i didnt read your post right. it takes all of 5 minutes to solder the connections again. the hard part (easy compared to JDM swap) is taking the actual unit out of the car. its easy after that to disassemble the unit to get the part you need.
