JDM climate control...not another regular climate thread...this one is different!!!

I know there have been many similar threads, but any 4th gens who have PERSONALLY installed their JDM climate controls themselves and would like to share their knowledge? (no theories please, just personal completed installations) Thanks!

What he means to say is that he hooked up some wrong wires, and made his climate control produce some dark clouds.

what I mean to say is impatience started to get the best of me and I just started connecting **** sparatically for brief moments to try and get the fan control to start working correctly. getting the unit to adjust to defrost, foot, and vent is simple. Getting the rear defroster to work is simple. Getting the fan to adjust the speed is difficult. The wires don't match up for the fan controls (and obviously not for the temp control, since you just have some wires to control a motor for that.

One thing that throws you off if the blue w/ red stripe wires. There are 3 of them. One if for the heater fan (thick one in our harness), but there are 3 thin ones on the jdm control. You just gott figure out which one. Then...based on that....the different power levels of the fan should be easy right? thats what I thought.... Now I gotta resolder a diode/resistor the I burned and hope the damn thing still works. Or...just buy another one off ebay. Hopefully the first option will work!

Don't the 94's also have the same guage cluster as the 95's. I believe it was changed from 93 to 94, so you might be able to add another year onto your search criteria.

How did you ever become a moderator???

You know on the 92-93 Ludes they have the white on black cluster that you can see when the ignition is off??
The 94-94 have a cluster that looks like the fuel/temp guages in the middle of the dash.

Is your's an "S" model? The Si and VTEC models were the only ones that got the EL gauge cluster.
