JDM climate control installation-need help!

Hi guys! I am in the middle of installation of JDM CC unit. Since I'm without my car for over 2 weeks now I could use some (ANY!) help I can get from any of you. I followed detailed instructions from
JDM Climate Control.
but I'm run out of options . I really need help to breakthrough, since I am pretty sure I'm the only one in eastern Europe doing this lol !
vehicle is Prelude 4 th generation-European model BB3 2.0 (F20A4), year 1993.

1. first my air-mix motor works perfectly. Any change up-down from 18-32 degrees was followed by air-mix motor movement. But suddenly, now just reacts on18 or 32! Btw, I didn't do anything which could initiate this?? Any ideas?
2. My blower works on max or one lower level, so, fan positions on display 1,2,3 is all in 3th speed an 4th is on max. I checked diagrams thousands of times and everything is connected properly! I saw in some previous posts that some members had the same exact problems, but no one ever posted how to fix it?! Just some posts like..."Yeah, I got 4 speeds!" or "Now it's working...I had some wires mixed up!"...etc. Can someone actually say exactly how to fix this?
3. I would like to see some picture of where to put inside temp. sensor 'cause I didn't get a clue where to mount this exactly? BTW, I think I didn't get this sensor at all..since behind a connector there is empty housing, just vent bars outside...inside nothing?? I saw that the holder of this vent bar is broken so the guy who sell me this is probably forgot to pick sensor up when it's felt on the ground...anyway, If you have some pics. of sensor itself (inside of housing) I would like to see. If not, does anybody knows how to replace this sensor from some other European model maybe??
4. Sunlight sensor which I got looks more like no.2 on this picture:
http://www.jrcormier.com/pics/jdmcli...13SY80_B61.gif
instead of this:
http://www.preludeonline.com/images/...eControl10.jpg
so, any idea how to install it?

Any advice, pics. or even an open discussion...everything is helpful...'cause I really stuck in this...
Thanks!!!

im not sure whats going on with #1 problem. but for #2 did you wire and install the power transistor into the blower unit? the power transistor is needed for the JDM climate control to have all the different speeds. it replaces the blower resistor. if you used the oem blower resistor it will only have i believe high and low speed.
#3 ill see if i can get a pic for you later today. i know in the US we can use sensors from a 1997 Acura CL 2.2L Base and they will work.
#4 the pictures you link do not work, so im not sure.

first, thanks for answer! I appreciate!

1# yes, I installed transistor instead of resistor, I have all parts necessary for replacing standard to JDM unit. I followed all instructions which are posted from "Forbidden" on

JDM Climate Control

..the broken links of sensor pictures are also from this post. The sunlight sensor which I get is nothing like rhomboid shaped thing with a round sensor in center (which you can see by click on "sunlight sensor" under "parts" section of this post)
...I recognize my exact sensor on the other picture, also from this post

http://www.jrcormier.com/pics/jdmcli...13SY80_B61.gif

I just tried the link and it's working...but for any case, you can see it under no. 2 on the picture which is linked also under "parts" section of this post...here is the quote:
"For the sensors, you can get them from a 1st gen Acura CL. I've check and the resistance is the same on the CL sensors and the JDM Prelude sensors. These diagrams are from the 1997 Acura CL 2.2L Base on acuraautomotiveparts.com. The In-car Temperature Sensor is the No. 5 on this picture, the Outside Air Temperature Sensor is No. 4 and the Sunlight Sensor is No. 2. ..."
so, if links don't work, You can see it on the post.
But my major problem is blower speeds, I saw that member under name "Go Pre" had the same problem...but he never said how he fix it? I tried everything I knew and I am run out of ideas..
Did you do this standard-JDM swap on your car? any pictures, schemes or anything useful for "colleague over sea"
Thanks in advance!

1# ..I forgot to mention that I get high relay with at least 30cm (10 inch) of original wires, so mixing up the wires is out of the question. I can make some photos how I did it so far and post them if that helps?
2# that photos you mentioned of in car temp. sensor would be a grate help for me, also, how/where can I find out the resistance of this sensor so I can try to find a match in Europe?
Thanks again!

well im not real sure on the wiring for the power transistor and high relay because i had the JDM harness for the DCC when i did the conversion. so i did not have to do that much wiring. i do have the JDM wiring diagram for the climate control if that will help you at all.
the sunlight sensor you have should work, its just not the oem prelude one.
yes, i did the swap on my car. i dont think i have any useful pictures though.lol
you can measure the resistance using a multimeter. How to Measure Resistance with a Multimeter :: Electronics and Radio Today

Thanks for replay, I got the partial harness too, like I said, hi relay came with 10 inch of wires so I couldn't make a mistake about colors. I have already wiring diagram from "forbidden" on those instruction which I mentioned above. If you have some other schema or diagram I'll be glad to get that! Anyway, it wouldn't be a problem to measure that resistance of inside temp. sensor if I have one! The point is that here you can rarely find a prelude 4th gen in working condition, not to mention some parts from the Junk Yard . Here is mine and maybe 5 more preludes in my country! So, I need that resistance data so I could try to find some replacement from some other car. Here, we don't have even a documents about that, and my search over internet didn't bring me anything except loss of time...

I have a feeling you have your wiring mixed up with the blower. It is kind of confusing, with the high relay and all. I have done this on my car and am currently in the middle of doing it on another prelude. I had no problems with air mix or blower though the first time I wired them up (whew!). If I can get this paper scanned or take a nice picture of it, i'll post it up for you. It is a really nice wiring diagram for the whole climate control unit...and it has come in handy more than once. I can also try to take pictures of all my connections on the blower.

Thanks for joining ! ...you guys wouldn't believe what WAS the problem!?!!...last night, with help of 40$ and electrician expert, after 4 hours of analysis and trying I/we finally got this problem solved! It was all about............................the connector!!!! the ground/black wire on 20 pin JDM connector wasn't in good connection! All those trouble because of connector! After making pins tight and putting a contact spray....wooow, it's working! Everything else including wiring was totally ok! One thing which could help me very much now is information about "in car temp. sensor" resistance, 'cause I never got one in my kit and I have to make it somehow...original part, or from Acura is impossible to find here since I am in Europe, so anyone have this information maybe?? I could also use some extra pictures of where did you put outside sensor? I think maybe if I put it just in front of the radiator it could catch some heat from it instead of air temp. from outside?? Anyone have the pic. where is originally mounted on JDM models?
Thanks for help!!
