I got a parts list from one of the write ups in the FAQ section and I got a picture of all the parts that volk-rays would send me. I matched up the ones I could be there are 3 parts in the pic that dont match the 4 remaining parts on the parts list...help.
you also need the motor on the top of the pic, and the transistor which is the thing on the left of the pic. The idiot who named the parts in the picture butchered them pretty good. The other motor for the vents is unnecessary, that's already in our ludes. Also the heater solenoid is unnecessary. So you need the air mix motor (top motor in pic) and the fan transistor (he calls it a resistor in the pic).
Like he said, the Air Mix Control motor is what he called the Servo Motor for Vents and the Power Transistor is what he called the Fan Box Resistor.
The Blower Motor High Relay is not in the picture but when I ordered my parts from volkray it was in the box, if it's not you can use another relay like the fog light relay (that's what I used at first and it was working great)
maybe somebody w/ experience should do a chart in a reply to the above saying the name of the part and what we really call it ... and the function ...
fan resisister/transitor box? ... wuts that do?
and the recirc. motor, our cars have one already right? its just wiring it up?
The servo motor for Recirculating air is already in your car , you use the us one, so you dont need that one. If you are just trying to do "BASIC" functions all you need is the main unit and the air mix motor. If you want the "AUTO" feature to work you will need the following: Main unit, Air mix motor, Transistor {located in blower motor housing), inside temp sensor, outside temp sensor, evap sensor, sunlight sensor, you can use the stock blower motor relay.
It is impossible to make it display in F. That is hard coded into the CC unit. You will get used to the C scale pretty quick. Basically you test different settings and find one that is comfortable. I like mine between 20 and 25 C.
I got ALL my parts from volk-rays. In fact, I introduced people here to him as I was one of his first customers to buy the CC from him. He will include everything needed to convert. He will even include that recirc motor although it is not needed.
As far as getting basic functions, you will have to wire that Transistor if you want the thing to blow
This is the email I got from him when I asked about prices.
Quote:
Hello, sorry for the price increase but these sensors are getting really
hard to get and my supplyer hiked up the price. Before it was a 2 week
wait for ordering after payment was made. But now it has become 5 weeks
to order a set.
