This is what my mix motor looks like.

This is how it looks on forbiddens writeup.

I was wondering, how would i turn the metal peice that i pointed at around? Would i just run a battery to it? if so, which wires, and how many volts?

As far as my knowledge goes the only way to do it is by connecting it to the head unit (already connected to power and ground) and set the temp. higher. Yours seems to be in the coldest setting. that's the only way i know. Good luck!

welllll if its at the coldest setting, everything should work correctly if I have all the doors set at the coldest position when I connect with wire correct?

but just to be sure it IS at the coldest setting, i would hook it to the head unit, to double check and also to make sure it responds properly to temperature changes .

Like Bertico said, connect it to the unit and set it to either full hot or full cold and set the doors are the appropriate place. Then remove the nut on the air mix motor and switch it around. Just make sure the wire is the right length, you can do a little fine tuning afterwards by moving the arm a bit.

ive already messed with the nut, it will not turn and I cannot pull it UP and off of its gear,

Yeah it's a bit hard to get off of the gear but trust me you can take it off.

okay once I get out of school I will attempt it once more.

I was up till 2am last night in my freezing garage, my unit is wired correctly, i need to double check it once more to be 100% sure, but why wont the stupid thing even power up?

Mind you- I dont have the heater core, evap, or blower and hte dash installed, but shouldnt it still turn on? i see in all your pics the dash is in but I was just wondering if I messed something up.
