Sonik (this isn't personal to you), I'm not being funny, but even after all the time I've been on this forum I still don't get why people are willing to go through the major headache of fitting the JDM CC when it's of (and be honest) no real benefit to you. Apart from looking nicer than having the slider controls, it still does pretty much the same thing as the both the USDM and UKDM heater/air con system. Ok, you can set the temperature to what you want and it'll adjust itself automatically to maintain that temp, but other than that and the funky digital display it doesn't do any more than what you already have. I mean, I had my Prelude for 4 years (I imported the car from Japan to the UK) and I very rarely used the auto function for the temp. I just used it in the same way as a normal heater control (adjusting the temp according to the weather) and only switched the air con on when it was hot outside. Basically, it wouldn't have made any difference to me if it was the JDM unit or the more usual slider type unit.
Well, i did this mod about 2 years ago and looking back i'm hella glad i did. It may not make a practical difference, but the JDM CC DOES add a sense of sophistication inside your prelude. And of course there is the sense of pride knowing that YOU successfully completed this somewhat difficult conversion. It sets your car apart from most of its USDM counterparts and that goes a long way towards making your ride unique..just depends on what your priorities are...
I think everything's there, save for the blower high relay, but a bit rusty on the topic to be honest.
Yeah I know it's not practical.......BUT you could say that about almost any modification you make to a vehicle. Modifying a vehicle is not "practical". I mean you're never going to make more money than you put into the car. It's a labor of love, creating something just the way you want it to be. I know alot of people who don't understand me, the amount of time and money I invest in my car and motorcycle. However its my passion.
This will be one of those few modifications I do mainly for the way it looks. The way I look at it, when(if) I'm ever done with my car, it'll be just the way I want it.........and that's all that matters.
Happy Tuning.........

I have the JDM Climate Control on my car. I have to tell you...I haven't seen one other lude in my area with one of these So I think having a JDM CC makes that person very unique compared to the other ludes.
All I have to say, its not the most fun mod to do. Lots of wires... also hope u get the harness for the control unit... if not.. that's gonna be a whole lof of fun for u.
