I bought some JDM bumper lenses from someone in Japan off eBay. Got them today and noticed something I didn't originally notice by the pics. The far corner lenses/sidemarkers must be reflectors only in Japan. They have no pre-cut access for a bulb. Maybe this is because of the JDM's having fender sidemarkers as well. Check out the pics. The hole for the bulbs is covered. I guess I may be able to cut them open. I also have a set of fender sidemarkers, yet to cut in and install. I really like the way the sidemarkers appear on USDM ludes with the bumper lenses lit. I didn't realize this was a difference with the JDM ludes. I guess the JDM fender sidemarkers serve the same purpose and replace the USDM bumper sidemarkers... Crazy.

yeah they are just reflectors, and if I remember correctly the JDM 'ludes are wired for the front ones to stay on as marker lights also? They did offer cornering lights in place of the side ones, that when the turn signal is applied it shines a beam of light the the direction of the turn....crazy Honda techs...cant make up their mind.
For real. I guess I will look into retrofitting my bulb into these lenses. I need to compare the JDM lenses to my USDM ones and see if that will work. I don't wanna give up my current parking light appeal.

You can try to cut them open but you'll notice theres no notches to hold the bulb in the lense. Not only that it doesn't look very nice from the oustide cause you can see the bulb and cut marks. The JDM lenses are clear and lack the actual reflector that the USDMs have.

To my dismay, I found that the hole was covered... I simply took a drill to it and within minutes was able to place a bulb inside. Just get a small file and file in the notches to get the bulb to fit.
The JDM/EDM corner lenses are indeed different from the US ones.
I've converted my EDM corner lenses to US spec, it's easy to do.
I also had to extend some cables from the city lights to the corner lenses, that's not stock over here.
About the JDM/EDM sidemarkers, they are only on when the turn signal is applied.
As far as the marker light, EDM Preludes don't have this, I'm not sure about the JDM ones.
It's only used to function as turn signals.
Again, really quick fix, and worth it if you ask me.
I also installed some sidemarkers as well. Instead of having them as a signal, I just hooked them up to be on with the parking lights, however, I'm going to change it so that it stays on and serves as a signal light as well.
yes...the jdm ones do not have the reflectors inside the outer pieces...
In this picture the jdms are on the car and the usdm is on the ground. Only difference is the 92-93 usdm is all amber not clear and amber. You can see that the jdms don't reflected the light like the usdms do.

Does someone have any USDM or JDM amber/clear style lights that they'd sell me? I got JDM cornering lights that came with JDM front amber lights, so they don't really match. I just put my fender sidemarkers in today, but I'm not sure how I'm going to wire them. On JDM vehicles, does the front section of the bumper light only come on with the turn signal, or does it light up all the time since the side bumper light doesn't have a spot for a bulb?
