JDM : 5th Gen. Sills in 4th Gen.

Just so everyone knows what they are getting into.... The JDM 5th gen sills do not fit in the 4th gen (at least not in my 95 SR-V). The problem is the fastening mechanism isn't even close to the same. I read a thread a while back about them fitting without modification.....Not True.
Now this isn't to say you can't make them fit but i just wanted to straighten the record for anyone looking at this.

I'll guess I'll wait an extra month before ordering the cooling plate and short shifter

Nah...don't do that If/When the sills get done, I probably won't be able to do a HUGE discount since the sills will have to ship seperately, but we'll see.

I've been in an apartment for the past year so I haven't had the space to work on anything new. However, in a week I'm moving to a house so I can do some more parts in my spare time.

Really... So do I.... Which means this.... Either different years of the USDM Prelude have different attachment brackets for the sills or different years of the JDM Preludes have different brackets.
What I know as a certainty is this. You have a set that fits and I have a set that doesn't. Now that being said.... I think I can take the metal portion of the JDM sill off (the Plate that says Prelude) and fasten it to the USDM one. I'll be looking into this probably on the weekend.
One thing to note though. From reading other posts on this topic I was under the impressiosn that the JDM sills looked odd in the 4th gen and after trying them on it sort of does. I find the JDM sills have a thicker ridge of plastic that doesn't quite match that of the USDM 4th gen. So just to let you guys know before you blow huge coin on these sills for your 4th gen. It really sucks to spend that kind of money for something and be disappointed.
I'll try and get pics up this weekend in detail so you can see what I am talking about.

Well I can tell you that the 5th gen sills that I have do not have the same connection brackets as my tock 4th gen sills. I see that you have a 93Si. I wonder if the stock sills are different?
