Hi could anyone help answer my Qs I have just bought a jap import 2.2 vtec bb4 manual the guy I bought it off told me it was a wide body light weight version though it has a sunroof and climate controll can it still be a lightweight with these extras and is there such a model as a wide body version and how I can distinguish which exact spec I have
any help would be greatfully appreciated thanks Andy UK

No such things as a factory widebody version. The lightweight versions of the 4th Gen. Prelude did not have a sunroof. So you have a standard Japanese-Spec 4th Gen. BB4.

There is only two types of prelude that come from japan

Si F22B 9:5:1 160PS 2WS BA8
4WS BA9

Si VTEC H22A 10:6:1 200PS 2WS BB4
4WS BB1

I have the BB4 and that has all the gizmos as only the jap VTEC`s got that, very rare ones have a small screen in the dash.
The Si VTEC is classed as the lightweight version.

This is handy as i found out, your standard gearbox is M2B4 (you`ll need that at some point)

Nevermind, I see you are in the UK. Tons of BB4s! Where I picked up mine.
