Intermittent CEL?
First of all I'd like to say hello to the world of preludes. I've recently become an owner of a 93 Honda Prelude VTEC (original) H22A1 and i'm very much enjoying my new ride.
But now to a question i would really like to find an answer for...
After driving my new prelude for a few hundred miles (with no issues), suddenly my check engine light flashes on after driving for only a few minutes. I do not notice any loss of power or bizarre circumstances to make me believe it is a serious issue. however, being an OCD California Driver, i am seeking suggestions on what could cause this, so i may fix it ASAP. If i turn off the car, and re-start it, the CEL stays off... for a few minutes and then kicks on again. it stays on for the duration of my drive (again, no apparent driving issues).
I feel it could be a loose connection, or a bad vacuum hose, but i'm wondering if anyone else has run into this problem before?
In my old mazda, i know there was a way i could jump the diagnosis and have the CEL flash me messages, is there anyway i can do this with the prelude as well?
