intermittant problem

ok maybe someone has seen this before. sometimes when i go to start it will turn over, start, then die off, directly after, when turning to ACC the check engine light will come on and will turn over but not start. I've found that if i just turn it off and on to ACC a couple of times the light will go out and it will catch. But when it does catch and turn over i have to give it gas then no problems. Never stalls, only does this when engine is off. Sounds to me like a failing fuel pump, but before I spend the 120.00 bucks I wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else. All info greatly appreciated.

It might also be main relay since it turns the pump on. I think the best thing to do is to check the fuel pressure while you the turn the key.

Found it, hooked up a pressure guage and found that the fuel pump is indeed going bad, but also the o2 sensor is shot. when it rains it pours. funny though it didn't store codes, even when failed.

Make sure that you hear two clicks from the main relay when you turn the ignition key to on. First click turns the pump on and the second turns it off. I had the same problem and it turned out to be the main relay. You can use an integra or civic relay.
