You will need to begin by taking the hub assembly apart (the spindlenut at the end of the axle), also disconnect the side specific tie rod. After that, there will be a fastener (lack of a better word) around the boot (maybe two) that you will need to disconnect, which isn't the easiest thing in the world. After that, you should be able to pull the axle out no prob. It's a little more difficult than what I made it sound, but it's not too bad.

actually i should specify. I was trying to remove the driver side axle from the intermediate shaft. My buddy pm'ed me with the brass hammer deal. Since the axle/int shaft are considered an assembly, he told me just to knock it loose with a brass hammer. Sure enough, after a few pings, bam they seperate.... Does anybody have any tips for putting in the transmission? (parts i should use and/or replace) Ive got my helms so im following it like a bible...lol. Thanks

Carlos

Also- If my buddy has a 92 s model w/out abs w/ an h22a swap, which cv joints(axles) should he use?
