interior lights not working

So I am having some problems with some of my interior lights not working. The gauge cluster lights work, for the RPM gauge and speedometer, temp, fuel, half the climate control and the cigarette lighter. The lights for the switches on the dash don't work, the sunroof switch, cruise control switch (neither bulb works) and the brightness control.

I just pulled the switches out and did some testing today. I am getting continuity from the pins on the back of the switch (where the plug goes in) to the "terminals" that the bulbs screw into. I also get continuity from the back of the plug to the "terminals" when the plug is plugged in. I get 12 volts from the red/black wire when the lights are on. And I get between .222 volts and 8.22 volts on the red wire depending on where the dimmer switch sits. (wiring diagrams can be provided upon request :-) )

Starting to sound like I just need to get some new bulbs, right?

I took some bulbs out the aux light switch from my Del Sol and put them in the cruise control switch....still nothing. Now I am not sure if the bulbs from the Del Sol are the same but I atleast know that they work (last I drove the Del Sol atleast)

Any suggestions on what I should do next? I don't mind getting some new bulbs just to make sure I have the correct bulbs, but where would I get those small bulbs? Would an autozone/advance carry them or do I have to get them from a dealer? What other suggestions are there?

Thanks in advance!!

PS: the car is a 92 Si

Bulbs are different. That may possibly be a problem. Did you test the bulbs to see if they are good with ur meter?

Nice to see a fellow Lude/Sol owner here. I got a 99 Base 5spd Lude and a 96 Del Sol VTEC and a couple other Honda's as well too. Funny thing is, the Sol is faster than the Lude. People find it hard to believe until they take a ride in both.

Yeah, I LOVE my Del Sol, its just a 93 S with a D15 however, so in my car the Lude is much more fun to drive.

But anyways, how would u recommend I test the bulbs? My multimeter is only a meter, not one of those powerprobe things (which I would LOVE to have). Should there be continuity between the 2 wires on the bulb or does the filament in the bulb stop the continuity.

Then on the other hand, if the bulbs are bad, what are the odds that all FOUR bulbs go bad all at the same time?

True story, I was on the highway one night, within 3 minutes both low beam burned out. Shiet does happen and isn't out of the relm of possiblity.

Did you ever put the Lude bulbs in the Slo? I know u said you put the Slo bulbs in the Lude. Just wondering if you tried it the other way around.

did you put the bulbs in correctly? they have polarity. +/-

very common problem that people insert the bulb one way and if it doesn't work they think the bulb is bad.

There's 2 ways the bulbs sit in the switch.
