Crazy, my girls 93 just did the same thing this morning. No Temp, gas or clock, but the whole bottom section of the dash still works. Going to take a look at it now...
Update. Zero fuses blown, all other interior lights working fine, did a search here and see some issues others have had but nothing that seems to solve the issue.

The gas and temp gauges are not lit up by LEDs. They use some kind of CCFL bulb

it sometimes turned on and others dont... i just get a used one and that fixed it

i opened the gauge to look the "LED" or CCFL and it had like black spots in some ends... not visibles from outside

same problem-gas light and temp gauges out

Did anyone find a solution, is it the ccfl? What is a ccfl? Where do you get one? What do you have to remove to replace? Please help. Thanks.

CCFL = Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp

If I were you I would pick up a whole replacement instrument cluster (just the one with the fuel/temp and warning lights and clock). They can be picked up on ebay for reasonable costs.

Tyler thanks for the quick reply. Is it a snap out of the dash front and easy / quick fix? Is there anything else I should test before replacing that? I looked at the fuses quickly the other day and saw nothing wrong...

It's relatively easy. Just follow one of the many DIY guides to swapping the gauge cluster to get access to the instruments in the dash. Unplug the old instrument cluster, remove, plug in the new cluster and then put the dash back together.

Wow, I just checked ebay and the cluster is anywhere from $100 to $200 shipped. That is a ton of money to me to fix some lights in the dash. By the photo it is not plug and play either. It looks like the wiring was cut and would have to be put back together one at a time. ?? any ideas...?

just get the instrument panel/cluster.. its pnp.. no wire cutting required

it should be less than $100 shipped

if you want to upgrade the miles/rev cluster to 94-96 one.. then you need to cut wires
