Interior Accents

I've seen a couple cars where some of the interior peices are painted. i think this looks pretty sweet, but i was wondering what was involved. like do you have to remove the door panels or something to paint them, and what do u paint with, a brush. Also what kind of paint, and wether u gotta use like a coat on top. does anyone have any pics of silver accents in a 4th gen? sorry bout the long post, any input would be appreciated. thanks guys

My interior is entirely black. Not contrasting colors; just boring black. Yesterday, as a matter of fact, I painted my entire center console (1994) tan! It looks very good, but I am not finished and need to paint more things in the interior for it to look complete. I actually just purchased some interior color (Dupli-color brand) tan spray for VINYL AND INTERIORS or something of the sort, and it worked awesome. It doesn't peel or chip or scratch easily, as I had thought. Good luck.

I attempted to do something like that on an old 92 Protege, that dupicolor stuff and painted my interior, after a month it started to chip and corrode. My suggestioin would be to buy the interior paint like they advertise in Summit or something like that, my friend bought some for his accord and installed some tint, it's been going strong for 2 years, just don't do it white (attracts too many stains)

shadowzz, does the vinyl dye soak into the vinyl so that it doesnt scratch off or rub off?

yes it does go into the pores of the vinyl but you have to heat up the vinyl first, as for purchasing it , its called SEM and go to specialty paint shops to buy it
