Interesting cup holder solution . . .

Stumbled across this on Ebay, looks like a fairly decent solution:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=63691

It wedges between the console and pasenger seat, so its easily removable and you wouldnt have to have it showing all the time.

i got two of these ... pep boys sells them for i think $7

it works great for smaller drinks.. so no biggie size or large from mc d's

in any case.. the only issue is when the passenger tries to move the seat back and forth.. other then that.. they work hella great

Anyone got a pic of this thing installed?
Does it get in the way of the front seat passenger?

I get by fine either by jamming drinks:

A. In between the ebrake and passenger seat cushion
B. In between drivers seat and drivers door
C. In between my legs to keep my cajones cooled.

There's enough room in our cars that we could fabricate something beside the e-brake (where i always put my biggie size soda - has to be biggie size so it fits snug) but that there piece above is just another thing to put in our cars .. another accessory. and beside the handle that looks as though that would be too big to easily grab at the e-brake .. unless it was overlapping the passenger seat ..

I'd need to see full measurements of this before i considered it.

They were so cheap I went ahead and ordered one, should have pics and a review this weekend. I'm looking into a more custom solution, and may just end up raping this thing for the basic form.

that's cool.. but to reach all the way down there to get your drink....and then on top of that.. many passengers prob won't see it and if you left something in there.. all it takes is one kick

in any case... who should i send the pictures to in order to have them on the web for everybody to see?

I use that ebay one, i got it from walmart, it works fine, i wedge it between the passenger seat and the center console. it kinda bothers the passenger as it rubs against her leg but thats not so bad. i usually have it in the back seat most of the time.

Just dont know where I would mount it.

Any suggestions?

Hell something like that you could mount on the dash if you really wanted to lol. other options might be on the side of the center console or the door but both might get in the way of you driving. I have been trying to find a good place to fiberglass a cup holder into my car for the passenger but there is no good place for one unless I want to tear apart my dash and Im not doing that.

Even then you'd only have one cup holder, and it gets in the way of shifting from time to time.. This thing would be a good investment.
