I don't want to feel stupid or anything but I just wanted to know what mugen and spoon is and why they are different?

Mugen and Spoon are just different brand names. They both make performance parts.

As triumph said, just brand names. Mugen is the racing wing of Honda and Spoon are an independant company who specialise in Honda tuning.

Don't feel embarrased to ask questions like this, we all have to learn these things.
