Intake resonator question

Hey guys, long time no post. I recently got a 4th gen that's been wrecked, but is definitely not beyond repair. Owner didn't feel like fixing it though, so we got the car for free. Right now I'm in the process of pulling off all the old busted stuff. The stock intake air box and some other parts are totally shattered, and since I have the fender, bumper, and hood off, I figured I'd just pull it all out, throw in the ebay intake from my 5g and go back to stock on that one. I tried searching for stuff, but couldn't find any specifics on resonator removal. There's one small hose coming off of it that goes into a little box or something. Do I just plug it up and call it good? Sorry about the long winded post.

Here's a nice writeup on the stock intake. It's about the later 5th gen version top but covers the bottom half of the 4th gens in detail.

I've got a stock one, not the type s, if you need from an H22A1. It's only the top half you'd still need the filter and below.
