intake manifold and emission bypassing

ok i have a 93 si with just about every bolt on part you can buy and some head work done to my car. i am currently working on porting out the intake manifold aa little and cleaning it up.my question is to those of you that have aftermarket IMs did you notice much in power increase? and what on the intake manifold can i get rid of to dress it up a little more. i have the coolant bypass done and the runners open at all times. so far i have the egr, fast idle valveelcetronic air control valve and the black box under the IM removed and blocked off. do i have to do anything to get rid of the air boost valve assy? what about the valve freq solenoid? can i just plate these off too? any help is appreciated

having the secondary runners really bogs you down low and just gives you your midrange slightly earlier in the powerband.

I say block off the EGR if you need something to do.

having the runners open all the time will just make you lose power.

And you won't find anyone with an aftermarket IM unless they are turbo really. There aren't many out there.

i already have the coolant bypass done and blocked off egr. can i remove the air boost valve or the part next to it and plate those off? i have a 73mm tb and have the manifold port matched to that opening, also will be putting on new fuel rail and everything is highly polished, i plan to do turbo a long ways down the road but wanna keep stock IM but get the most power out of it now that i can. my secondary runners are removed as well.

seriously, not using those secondary runners as they are meant means that u will be bogging untill u get up to like 4500 rpm,

NO low end power at all,, the best way to test that is to maybe have tied the valve for them open and did a test drive.

I had that idea a long time ago, but I didnt take anything out or off, just unplugged the vacumm line to the actuator and felt the difference and decided not good,

Maybe if their was a way to have them open earlier in the rpm range I could see some effectiveness of it, but I havent figured out how to yet.

having the secondaries open down low makes your intake sound louder though, heh

i have had the secondary runners opened up on my car ever since i got my headwork done and i would rather have the top end power sooner, i already cant grab in 1st or 2nd at wot anyways. does noone know about the other valve assy on the IM? what can be pulled off and what cant, im making into street and show car and off to very good start, so far i have stage 2 port/polish, dc header, hi flow cat, apex n1 cat back, pulleys, cam gears, ignition, coil, removed ac, cai, several 'free' mods, fuel rail, that about it, im working on 3" tb with 3 inch inlet on IM as well port matched to head and removed the runners all togther
