Intake help

Hi guys, quick question:

My car is totally stock. Recently my friend gave me a K & N filter he does not want. This filter though has a Chrome looking casing(Filter charger??). Now, this does not fit with my stock pipe...

Should I :

A) Give it back and just buy a new K& N filter that does fit my stock pipe.
B) Keep this one and buy a new pipe?

ANy comments are appreciated

Buy a pipe... K&N's last forever if you keep them oiled and cleaned.

Neither go for broke and buy a AEM cold air intake......much better than the K&N that you are trying to rig on .........more horsepower gains ....wont regret it .
