Installing new valve cover

I was wondering what is involved in removing my stock valve cover and installing a new one. If was wondering if anyone can give me sort of step by step instructions. BTW I have an h23.

Thanks, Jordan

I want to replace my stock one w/ a chrome one, but don't want ANY downtime. Is this what you did, got a chrome cover?

really easy job.

step one mark your plug wires in the proper order 1-4 from left to right.
2 remove PCV valve and hose, also remove the breather filter or line going into your intake tube. Disconect the grounding strap.

3 unbolt the 4 10mm nuts holding it down.
use a screw driver to break the seal and the cover should plop right off. Don't leave this uncovered, use news paper or something to cover your open engine

You should replace the valve cover gasket while your there. And if your putting on a new cover invest in stainless steel nuts. Your stock ones will rust and look nasty after a while
