Installing my cold air intake

Im, new at this so take it easy on me. I wondered if it's a must that i take out that box just to the left of the battery behind the bumber from the stock intake? And also to be sure if i had all the connections hooked up right. Like I said before, my lude came in pieces and i still can't get it to start. I cleaned the tank checked the spark plugs, flushed the hoses and am currently lettin the rest of the "bad gas" dry out right now. but i still don't feel confident that is the problem. so any suggestion? Pictures help alot. thank you

What black box? The resonator or the butterfly valve control unit?

That would be the resonator underneath the airbox. You'll have to remove it (along w/ the associated vacuum tubes.

i don't think an intake is going to make your car start. i wouldn't spend $ on stuff for a car that does not run, until i was sure i could get it running. maybe you have more money than me and its no big deal to you, but running would be my #1 concern.

Go in through the passenger side fender liner. You'll need to crank the wheel all the way left or right for the best clearance. Once you remove the upper airbox section, you should be able to fairly easily remove the lower.
