Installing foglights..cutting bumper - Honda Prelude Forum

I have read the instructions in the faq but I'm still a little unsure of exactly where to cut the bumper to fit the fog light. Can someone who has cut theirs shed a lil more light. Thanks

When you take the bumper off just match the fog up to the holes where the screws go. You will see what you have to do to get it to fit. You basically are just cutting a hole for the fog to fit through. I cut out everything in the cubby hole where the trim cover goes because you aren't going to see it.

If you look close enough at the back of the bumper you can actually see tiny dots showing and outline of where to cut.

just follow those tracings

I've done it twice already... an electric jig saw helps... ALOT

I used an xacto knife!

But yea, follow the pattern of the tiny dots.

How about a dremel tooL??? What bit would do this the best?

those little cutting wheels. It worked through mine really quick and the finished product was really clean.

dremel worked awesome for me,
the dots/line doesnt go all the way around but it gives you an idea of where to start
