Installed ST rear sway bar - need help

So I replaced my stock rear sway bar with a suspension technique sway bar, used the stock endlinks. I hardly feel any vibration at all and it seems to drive a little smoother. There seems to be a lot more body roll when I steer left then when I steer right.

Problem is, I can hear so many new noises from the rear suspension now. It squeaks, rubs, bangs, and I can even hear noises as if birds are trapped in my rear suspension and they are squeaking. Anybody had any problems installing a ST sway bar (or any aftermarket sway bar) and familiar with those noises? Will they go away? Should I get used to them? Is there anything I can do about it? Even if the car is turned off and I rock back and forth across the seat, I could hear noises from the rear.

Thanks for the help in advance.

First off cool front bumper.

Check for a couple of things. Be sure that all the bolts are tighten to proper torque.
On the sway bar along the rear be sure that the bolts that tie the sway bar to the flange are tightened to 18ft/pd. I have had those come loose on me one. That will add some squeeking and moving.
Be sure that you have lubed up the bushings at the rear flange really well or you'll get squeeking.

As for the slop you feel.... I have the same problem. I have ST in the front and back. I thought it might be a problem with the front bushings on the endlinks not being poly but if your getting the same issue..... Hmmmm....

Anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks about the front bumper. Im going to try to make sure I tightened everything as hard as I can, although I already did that, then I'll see if some of the noises stop.

I have GC coilovers with AGX shocks all around, with a stock rear sway bar... but i am familiar with all the sounds you mentioned coming from the back.

how do the ST sway bars compare to the stock? i heard they have different bends and in some instances, the rear sway would at times hit an aftermarket exhaust piping. i have Tanabe sway's both front and rear and they follow the stock bends exactly. The only difference i can tell physically is that they are thicker, heavier, and have a blue finish. the front sway is thicker and weight more meaning i'm back to understeer.. but i'm used to it that way. i used a lot of silicone grease on the cheap looking rubber bushings so no squeak yet.

Well, the ST sway bar is thicker than stock, more than twice as heavy. It doesnt have so many bends as the stock one.

That silicone grease, where you apply it? on the inside and outside of the rubber bushing? I only put some between the sway bar and the bushing and not between the bushing and the thing that attaches to the L bracket.

I Have the ST bars on my car , the only problem Ive ever had was the new is stiff enough that you end up ripping out the nuts that are welded in the frame that the swaybar bolts too. I made a steel plate with some 3/4" thick threaded bushings welded on to the frame to beef it up.

gotta check on that. Were your nuts that are attached to the frame rusted?

my guess is your end links. if you greased those rubber bushing that attach to a "C" looking clamp good enough than you shouldn't hear any squeaking. I remember looking at my end links and they had old rubber bushings on them as well.. but for some reason they were real greasy so try to lube those up as well.

I found out what some of the problems are. One of the endlinks is knocking when I hit bumps because its loose so Im going to get that taken care of. Some of the squeaking is coming from the sway bar hitting one of the bolts on this thick piece of metal( I think its called crossmember, but not sure).

About greasing the rubber bushings on the sway bay, I ONLY greased it between the rubber bushing and the sway bar.
Do I have to grease it between the rubber bushing and the C looking bracket?

Thanks,
Safaa
