instal msd 6a ignition and blaster 2 coil

first off yes i did a search and is still kinda blurry to me. i know where all my wires go except for the thin red and the white wire coming off the msd box. it looks to me like the thinner red wire goes to black/yellow on the stock coil harness? and the white wire says in the manual goes to points or electronic ignition amplifier output. is the white wire not used in our cars? i have a 93 si. i would just like this info confirmed if i am right that way there are no surprises when i go to instal this. also has anyone ever totally bypassed the egr and egr valve assy and removed them from the car?this would clean up my engine bay nicely if i can get rid of these unnececary vacuum lines and just cap them off on the manifold. and would also give me a nice place to put my msd box. thanks

Hey,

Okay, the stock coil harness should have three wires, Yellow, Black, Blue.

The MSD wires get connected as follows:
The white wire goes to both the stock Yel and Blk wires
The org wire goes to the stock Blue wire

As for the rest, I really wouldn't suggest removing your emissions equiptment unless you like check engine lights.

HTH,

Nice wiring job at the battery. What connectors are you using? i see your having a good use for the side battery mounts. Looks very clean - I like=D

Not a bad idea to mount the coil at the original location. Another great Idea using ring connects than spade connects on the coil as well! - Great Job with the write up

if you have alot of connections at the battery, you can just hook it up at the fuse box wire

I'm using o ring connectors at almost every point I can to prevent them from comming loose. I havn't had any major problems yet except I have to lower the position of the MSD Ignition bracket. it seams to be hitting my hood when ever the engine torques back. Not anything difficult just a pain.
