Ingalls Camber kit install

I just got my ingalls front camber kit in the mail today (Ball joint type).I will be getting my camber degree checked.I just had one question? I understand the whole instructions untill it gets to this one part. Its says to install alignment equipment and set camber to Manufactures specifications. I don't have alignment equipment. How did yall go about doing this? Do you just pull out on your spendel untill the wheel is straight Then tighten you flange bolt? Also, the instructions it states to lower your vehicle on the ground before you do all of this. My car is slammed, I can't even get my hand inbetween the wheel and the wheel well there is no possible way to tighten that flange bolt. Im just confused about this. Im all about saving money and want to learn. Please help, any links or comments or write-ups will help. Thanks

most places will check your alignment for free. I always go to tires plus. They will put it on the rack and can give you a print out stating all your alignment specs. That will let you know how far you have to set your camber kit. Is there any instructions in with the kit? Usually there is a piece of paper with the different degrees and shows you how to adjust the ball joint.... but having been so long since I worked on a honda I can't quite remember. If you post up some pics of all your stuff I can walk you through it.

it is just general knowledge so I'm going off that. I would definitely hit up an alignment shop. Can you link me to the camber kit you bought?

It came with instructions, and how to set it, I was confused on certain things. The ball joint has a sliding adjuster, and when it is adjusted, it is secured by tightening the flange nut at the top. Here is a link to the instructions (this will help others too) http://www.ingallseng.com/Instructions/35590-35622.pdf
Should I just get my camber checked, install kit, then go back to the shop and have it adjusted? Also, will any regular alignment shop know how to adjust an ingalls kit? Sorry for all the questions, just need allittle help. Thanks for everything

Check with the tech in the shop. Don't talk to the desk jockey up front. Ask them if they are familiar with your kit and if they would have any problems adjusting your camber back to specs. I'm sure someone in Houston can do it. If they are willing to take the time then by all means..... let em have a go. If that is the route you want to go I would just install it and take it to them but be sure to watch what they are doing so you understand the principle behind it.

If they aren't familiar with your kit go somewhere else. If you want to adjust it yourself get the print out and go to town.

Hey thanks man, I don't what to come off like I don't know what im talking about. Suspension is allittle new too me. I did change my shocks and springs by myself (and help from my dad drinking beer on the porch acting like he knows everything, lol). Thanks for everything. I will get my camber checked, then do it myself. If the Camber adjustment range is from 1 1/2" to 3" im sure without adjusting anything on the kit it probably starts at 1 1/2"? So if I have a degree of 1 1/2" camber on both sides, all I might have to do is install it without any adjustments.
