I just finished putting my tein's in this morning... the installation was smooth (at least from Tein's part). I'm going to have to agree with everyone else that the quality from packaging to the parts themselves is all excellent. No complaints whatsover.
Driving, I have about 2 finger gap in front and about 1 in the back, rolling on stock 15 inch wheels and some crappy no name tires......
..... my car handles incredible. Handling is unbelieveable, it feels like it never wants to leave the road. The suspension seems as if it just grabs for every dip and pothole or indentation and just makes sure theres maximum tire contact patch. With that in mind, the ride can be rough, Definately a little bit rougher than when I drove Specialque's car at whatever setting he had them at (i think like 4 - 5 clicks from max). But, I know its probably caddilac ride to you suspension freaks out there, so take it as you will.
I dont think I'll ever consider another suspension other than TEIN, I am that impressed with the ride quality vs. performance. I think they hit it as about as perfect as you possibly could.
car: 1993 Prelude vtec, 117k miles, driven in winter (would explain for 90% of the suspension parts being seized together... ), driven in MA roads (medium to worse)
hope this helps for some of you trying to make a decision.

What suspensions did you guys have before? I'm curious how big an upgrade the Tein Basic system would be over my current Koni/Neuspeed Sport combination...

hmmm... well keep in mind there is no adjustability for the Basic, so they are a bit stiff, and thus a little rough on the highway. The SS could be adjusted to ride like a Cadillac, or at least like a stock Prelude.
The best example I could give is I just got a Dunkin Donuts small coffee, i had to drink a good inch off the top before i started driving again... the ride wasnt rough enough where it spilled, but it did splash a few droplets here and there (i have a 4th gen = no cupholders).
But hey, it's the price you pay to pass BMW's on the inside

I put about 400 miles on my car and raised my rear about one skinny finger length. This combination has made my read 10 times smoother, and it's actually quite bearable on long trips now. You can still tell you have teins, but now it's a more refined ride. When you hammer in the corner though, you still get the wonderful TEIN feel...
