I'm the victim

not real sure what happened (was in Chicago for the weekend), but aparantly my dad said that my car was hit (parked on street) in the driver's side mirror. In actuallity, it looks like a pry job because my mirror was gone, but the painted part didnt have but a tiny scratch. The mirror is completely gone, but the mounting piece that is, the electronically controlled part still moves like normal, just no mirror. I need to know the fastest/easiest/cheapest way to get a replacement mirror, cause highway merging is a pain right now! Was thinking junkyard? Dealer? havent found anything but the full assembly online.. help me out! Thanks

dealer will charge you up the butt for that, close to 300. try junkyard or ebay. i needed t his mirror before, and i just bought one for 15 bucks on ebay and it solved my problem.

Yeah, either donae to the Hien charity or check eBay, there are always single mirros listed. Good luck, I hope you don't have to pay too much. Have you checked with you ins. company? I always wondered if the rules were different when you weren't in the car when the accident happened.

I really dont need or want to pay for the whole assembly, the plate that holdes it on still works and i can move it from inside the car, just need the actualy mirror. Ebay, etc only sells the whole thing, if more was damaged, I'd definately buy JDM "folders" thats just too badass, but not now, maybe this summer with a better paying job I've got lined up (I'm only 17 ya know ). Thanks guys, I'll talk to the NTPOG guys since I'm in their area for a junkyard. Thanks for input, and I'll be sure to come to you when I want those JDM mirrors, Peace.
