All this, and now you are in the game again?

I'm pretty much done myself.

Like Pter said, I've found other hobbies.

Go with those rims Ryan. Alan srew you 18's look the best on the car for looks. Get a set of 15's or 16's for the track.

Yea, I think the whole jist of this thread is that everyone is coming to the realization that the prelude isn't a really fast car. There's really no point in trying to make it a really fast car. It can be done, but it's very hard. I'd jus go for a few engine mods and mostly show. But then I think anyone who uses rice to describe a car is a dumb ass.

ALL YOU GUYS CAN SPEAK FOR YOURSELf

I starting modding my lude to make it more reliable...my stock exhaust would rust out every 2 years like clockwork..so I bought a SS Greddy unit that would never rust.

$25 to change my air filter every year was a bit much..so I got a CAI with a K&N filter.

My Exhuast manifold cracked..so I bought headers

My calipers locked up on me, so I got new ones...with slotted rotors and goodridge lines to compliment them..

Needed new tires..in 15's they would cost me $440 with mount and balance..so I spent $1k and got new rims AND tires. Gives me a larger footprint and better handeling.

When my stock spring cracked and I blew a shock. I went with coilovers and KYB's

My point is everything I have done on my car has been a needed repair with the sole pupose of making it stronger/ more reliable in some way...

Remind me to stay out of this forum. If I post here again flame the hell out of me. I don't want to be disillusioned by the rest of you. **Laughin goes back to the nitrous forum**

Prelude

I dont know about the rest of you but i love Preludes. I can have any car in the world and i Picked my baby. It took me over a year to find my prelude. And for the cost 16,000$ i know i could have got any new car I wanted. Used cars are hard to get loans for. New cars are easy. I love my car

The best thing about owning a prelude is the Compliments. At least 3 times a day i have people telling me how much they like my car. People asking me all kinds of questions and trying to buy it from me. I always wanted a nice car, all of my life. I had a RX7 and even a Mustang 5.0. But they just didnt compare to my lude.

Cmon have you ever sat in the passenger seat of a Integra? It's horrible. The car is just crowded. I know we have almost no back seat but if i wanted to drive people around i would have bough a mini van. Preludes can hold there own against almost any car on the road and most cars at a show. Its a work of art. I never want to get rid of mine. I still need a turbo so i can show that ugly WRX who is king, but i know this, i at least look better driving down the street.
Well im outie, thanx for reading

do a motor swap!

The H22 has a lot of untapped power. $85 in mods and I ran a 14.7 @ 96

motor swap

Motor swap is not enough.
I h8 to admit it but those damn WRX's have mad power.
It takes some boost to show those punks whats up.(im just mad caus one walked all over me the other day.)

Actually when i first wanted to buy a prelude i didnt even know it had a different engine than a Civic.(i know thats sad) I just knew its the ONLY honda i would ever own.(unless i get a second lude) I wouldnt even trade it in for a NSX. Forget that. I really dont wana join the X crowd. haha (WRX,RSX,NSX, Jag X, and the other X stickers they put on all the new cars)

But above all i dont want anyone to think that the Prelude is slow. People need to respect the LUDE. If it takes me another 10,000$ to make all of those other ImPoRt drivers want MY car then so be it.(but they cant have it) And if you were all smart they wouldnt be getting yours ether.
