Im so kicking myself in the ass right now! I installed my HR and KYB combo about 5 months ago now. Well I set them to 3f and 4r and try that out for awhile. Well if any of yall have ever been up to MN then you know that we have the worst roads on the planet so Ive pretty much been rattling my car apart for 5 months now. The roads are so bad up here I havent really even wanted to drive anywhere since I lowered.
Well today I decided enoughs enough and I set all 4 struts to setting 1. I cant tell you how amazing the difference is. Its practically like stock! I expected the ride to be fairly stiff on all the settings and it not make that much difference! Man I was wrong! Sddddoooooopid!
dude, thanks for the info. I have mine set to 3f and 4r too. I dont want it to ride like my old stock, it was as bumpy as my current setup, maybe because I had blown shocks and broken springs. Im going to give it a try anywways and see if it changes.
I had mine on 1/1 through winter because ice gets all over the road and its super bumpy ..
One thing I noticed, if you go around any turns really quick, the suspension bounces your car way higher almost making you loose control if you go over any dips in the turn.. I hit one section of road here where it goes down and comes back up, the shock must've compressed a lot and bounced me and felt like I was going to go into the other lane
Now i'm on 3f/4r for the summer and that turn makes me laugh (kbyagx w/ H&R Sport)
1/1 is definately way nicer to daily ride with ... I'm thinkin if I meet any chicks and want to go for a leisurely spin to set the suspension softer nobody likes to get jiggled all over (specially if girls got big ...... )
I have set on all ones for the past few days. It rides way nicer than before, but a little too bouncy, more body roll, and it feels like the car got higher. Maybe I'll just go the rest of this year with it then switch back to 3f/4r next spring.
it definately gets bouncy when its below 3 ... with my 4ws i dont think i need to be concerned about understeer so will switch to 3/3 .. see how it rides next time i hit the highway.. then again im going to edmonton where the roads are **** ... 2/2 it is ..
glad I made cutouts in the rear trunk covers so I can switch them with ease.
What type of springs/coilovers do you have?? Are GC just as bouncey??
There is no nob.. on the top of the shock, if you go under your hood you'll see it popping out the strut tower ... there's settings on the top of them and you use a screw driver, you push it down and turn it to whatever setting you want ..
same with the rears but the interior trunk liner makes it a bit more difficult to get to.
2 fronts 3 backs, mine are joined with Ground Controls, the ride is AMAZING, I have not gotten upset over the ride quality at all, handling is stupendous

I ran my KYB AGX's on 1/1 also. It's the most comfortable ride by far. I'm thinking about turning them up to 2/2 for a while to reduce body roll some and experience better grip and see how I like it. BTW if any of you need AGX's, let me know. We always have Prelude AGX's in-stock
