I'm afraid to ask but....

Ok so my problematic old prelude is givng me some trouble. Every once and a while when I take off in 1st gear the car acts as if I'm taking off it third? Thats the best way I can describe it any way. I'm sure that I'm in first I've been driving a stick for years and I'm not that stupid Any way it goes real slow untill about 2k RPM's and then it pics up and acts normal. Any thoughts, doesn't seem like a cheap problem Then again what is. Thanks

Maybe your ignition timing is off?

But I dunno if that would be it because it would probably be slow accelerating in every gear....

ummmm below 2k it's just bogging. I have a pretty well modified Si and it still feels like a slug anywhere below 3k. These damn Honda engines you really have to wrap them out to get good power outta em'.

no its not normal, if it were it'd do it every time and it does it much less often than it doesn't. Also you know when you take off from third cause even though your honda is slow in low RMPs in first its much worse in third, and its more like that. Thanks for the feed back everyone.
