Ignition Coil Prob w/ h22

i just replaced ingition wires last month because my car was acting wierd [starting,idle,just driving in general] and it was fine once i replaced the wires. It started acting funny today and i replaced the wires again. the wire that hooked up to the dist. and the ignition coil or w/e seemed to be burnt. the metal peice on the wire wasnt there. anyone ever have this problem? what do i have to do to fix it? someone plz help.. thx!

well it seems like you are masking the problem.

i don't know what the underlying problem is but its not the fault of the wires.

your problem could be as simple as not having the wire connected to the coil well enough. the ignition system puts out extremley high voltage and if the wire isnt properly fitted to the electrod eon the coil it could cause arcing which will eventualy lead to the burning of the wire (high voltage=high temps.) not possitive but a thought

yeah .. i took it out the other day and the metal piece seems to be going down the wire.. if that makes sense.. the top of the ignition coil is burnt though.. im not sure if i should replace it or not..
