ignition advance... how far?

I'm at 19 degrees right now (+4 from stock) and I was wondering how far some of yall had cranked it up. I just read that some cars take 12+ advance or more... can a lude handle that?

Im +5 from stock, but I must absolutly use 91... If I plan on romping on it, i'll toss in some octane booster.

20 degrees... wow... I'm on a JDM motor, think the extra compression would keep me from going that far?

I'm on a full advance. I have the distributor all the way towards the firewall. I'm not sure how many degrees that might be. No pinging for 15,000 miles

Low end power is very noticeable. It seems to me there is very little high end lost.

check out my reply on the main forum... but iraised mine to 21.5 and ran only 92/91 gas and had it there for 3.5-4 yrs...

i even passed emissions till they took out the timing gun bastards!!!

and the low end power is huge especially on an S which is what I have... nor did iever notice any high end detrimental performance
