I wouldn't quite call a Civic hatch an "Ultimate Warrior", but, each to their own.

I think everyone that owns a Prelude (or any other car, but more likely a Prelude, because it's not a car that you just buy because you needed a car and it was cheap), knew why they bought the car, and [hopefully] had a good reason for buying it.

If I wanted the fastest car on the road, I would've built an F body with a small block. But I enjoy turning... so that was out of the question.

I'd definitly buy a Prelude over a Civic Hatchback. In the end, a modded Civic is still a fast economy car, but the Prelude is a little bit more sporty. Prelude all the way.

Just me though.

yes, civic hybrids are fast. . with much more potential for 1/4 speed than a Prelude. If I wanted the ultimate street warrior, I would have just bought a late 80's Camaro or firebird and thrown NOS and Slicks on it or bought an old RX7 and boosted the fvck out of it.

F*** no. Let's see... Good looking car with decent performance and some potential to be fast while still being a great daily driver, or ugly-ass car w/ blistering performance that isn't good for a daily driver?

Hands down I'd buy the Prelude.

I bought my Prelude because I rarely see them. Civics are everywhere and they are a commuter car. My car looks better. A civic hatch might be a faster 1/4 mile car. I want to get a car for draggin but screw a civic I would get a 69 Camero SS(only available in a stick for all you auto drivers) That car could kill a hatch along with gas and still turn more heads then the worlds most common car(civic).

I bought my prelude not knowing anything about the modding potential (or lack of it). When I started understanding the cost to make my prelude go as fast as someone with a modded civic.. I got depressed and started looking into buying a RX-7 or a Supra. I never thought once of buying a civic. It didn't take me long to figure out that I really like my Prelude and didn't want to get rid of it even tho it is not all that fast. No matter.. I like the feel of being in a "sporty" car over a fast economobile.

90 percent of the world that glances at you on the road would never understand your 150 mph civic anyhow.. they would still look at you with yer econo car. No thanks.

If I really thought speed was THAT important.. I would buy an older civic (91 hatch) and make it my garage frankenstien. It would be made for racing and racing alone. No daily driver. I would find it fun then.. but not my staple transportation vehicle.

just my 2c

aye, i'll be happy if my car ever runs low 14s =]

I didnt get it for the 1/4 mile.. if ANYTHING i got it cuse i eventually would love to do some scca autox. And..... it looks hot. =]

Of cource im gonna go run the 1/4 for fun, but if i get mid-15's is the be expected. And i dont care if the civics or tegs w/ ls/vtec turbos and crvtec hybrids romp me.... they look like a civic hb.

I'm with u on that one 100%
Basically, correct me if i'm wrong but the civic hatch witha swap would not be a long lasting car???
All u guys including myself bought the 4th gen mostly of how sweet it looks {sporty+ I'm digging the electro lumm.. dash} not realizing how much $$$ must b put into it to have the HP to your satisfaction.
I dunno, those civics hatch kinda grew on me i like the 92-95 body style, don't like the brend new one. I know all of us have love for lude, but check out my buddy's STREET TERROR with B18 and many more toys like that.

True, but who cares what 90% of the world thinks?? I wouldnt buy a car to "stand out" or "look cool", i'd buy it for me.

Also, a Prelude is more of a "drivers" car. A modded Civic is still an econobox, striving for MPG.

I agree that I should not care what the world thinks about me because of my car.. but I admit I like having a car that says more than "college kid car". Maybe it is because I am 30yrs old and just dont find a civic to be a 30yr old's car. I think your car says alot about you.
