I would go with a manual tranny if you have the cash. When I do my H22 swap, I am just going to use my H23 manual tranny for right now.

the auto conversion is a big pain in the ars, plus a 5spd prelude isnt hard to come by .. you can even buy an S for cheaper if you dont mind not having power door locks and abs (which some people remove anyway)

Go ahead and get the manual, because if you end up with an automatic like me, you will regret it. The tranny swap is time consuming and money eating. If you do decide to get an auto and do the manual conversion, I have a good write-up. But to be honest, I don't think it's worth it. Make sure you make the right decision the first go round. Plus, there are plenty of manual ludes out there on the market. Just keep looking and you will come across the "right" one for you. Good luck.

$700, a Clarion headunit (for daughter's car ) and his automatic tranny (spare if ever needed for wife's or daughter's Ludes)

He made the deal before I even bought the car it came out of, so we we're both clueless of it's condition. But driving it 600 miles home, before I pulled it apart told me he got a smokin deal. I would guess you should expect to pay $1500 for the parts in good condition.
