idling problems

hey so i got a 92 prelude with a jdm F20B in it she idles only when the cars warm. in the mornings or whenever the motor is cooled down it'll idle about 2400 rpm till car is fully warmed up it goes from 1000 rpms back to 2400 rpm an wont stop. its done this ever since the swap an as the stock H23A1 being obd1 and the F20B obd2 the idling control valve had to be changed an the thermostat is f20b an is different from the original one that being said there was a few changes that had to be done so the idling control valve could get anti freeze. now when i plugged the new ECU in after a few week after the swao the problems stopped car idled at 1000rpm solid now a few months later its startin to idle bad i do have an exhaust leak from my down pipe to the cat now ive heard ppl say that can cause the problem but im not sure any answers on what the problem could be?

Fast idle valve, on the bottom of the throttle body, remove the 3 bolts then you'll see a brass colored plate on the back, remove it and use 2 flat head screw drivers to screw the wax plunger all the way down. Reassemble and bleed the coolant, you should be good after that. If the idle valve was bad it wouldn't idle no matter the engine temp.
