Idle still going crazy....

Still bouncing around. i honestly dont know what to do. i dont like driving the car while it does it because i feel like an idiot with a car that revs on everyone. my mechanic said he wont be at his shop for a long time so somehow im going to have to figure out whats wrong with it myself.

I just fixed my eratic idle today. It turns out I had some air bubbles in my cooling system left over from when it was flushed yesterday. Check all your vacuum connections, take your radiator cap off to let any trapped air out, and clean the filter screen on your IAC.

I have pulled off the radiator cap recently and it did not help. The idle was doing this when i first did my swap. then my mechanic swapped out the IAC from the h23 and adjusted the idle some and it went away. now its back.

clean the IAC filter. Then reset the ECU. Make sure all your vacuum lines are connected. If this does not fix it, you probably have a faulty IAC.

Yeah i think it could be the IAC itself. What would be the best way to find vacuum leak?? And how would i clean the filter? I need a Helms.

To clean the filter you just disconnect the IAC and wipe off the metal filter with a clean rag. Best way to check for a vacuum leak is to follow every vacuum line under the hood and make sure it is connected firmly, its a bish... I know.

if the surging idle is still there then I am plum out of ideas. Your IAC might be malfunctioning... get an IAC from a junkyard, or buy one new and see if that fixes it. My idle surged up and down once yesterday, so I popped the rad. cap off again and low and behold there was a tad more trapped air. No problems all day today. Sorry to hear about all your grief, I was wish I was a genie so I could magically make everything work perfect.

Nope i have not thrown any codes. its weird because the car idles at like 700 but it wont drop down to there, but it will just sit at 1300 and drop and repetedly do it. They only things im thinking right now are go and buy a IAC for 250 or so or search more for vacuum leaks, but i have and i cannot find any.

Can you clarify this? You mean the car is SUPPOSED to idle at 700 RPM, or it DOES idle at 700 RPM? When they did the swap, did they put the USDM hoseneck with the extra ECT sensor on the JDM motor?

Well it seems to be set at 700 and because when i let off the gas it drops down to 700 but then bounces back to 1200 then starts freaking out. and i STILL have not fixed it. i really dont wanna buy that IAC from the dealership because it will cost me to much and i dont even know if thats my problem.
