it can also be caused by a vacumm leak on your fuel evaporator canister

I had the same problem with mine after I did the coolant bypass. Turned out not to be a vacuum hose leak or an electical problem.



I blocked of that port on my TB and is fixed my problem completely.

BTW, I had a 96 S. And mine was jumping between 650 to 1400rpms. Hope this helps.

just so you guys know, i fixed the problem, i had an air bubble in my coolant and had to bleed it for like 20 mins, after doing this i discovered that my IAC valve isn't working... would anyone like to sell one? (it's the one on the front of the intake manifold held on by 2 bolts)
