Idle problem, Heating problem H23

I have a 92 H23 prelude. I thought i had a IACV problem because my car in the winter would rev from 1000rpms to 2300rpms consistent. So i put in the new iacv and still same problem... My friend said it could be a fuse that controls that but i doubt it. Also my temperature doesn't stay up after 5 minutes it will warm up than after driving on it for 5 minutes it will go back to C. What do you think my problem is?

For your idle problem it's probably your FITV. Do the finger test inside the throttle body. Remove your intake and plug the lower hole with your finger. If the fluctuation stops, then it's your fitv.

For your heating problem, probably a bad t-stat.

For both the aforementioned, search for FITV or idle fluctuation or idle bounce etc, you'll find what you need. There was a HUGE thread dedicated to idle fluctuations a while back... huge as in multiple pages with tons of feed back.

for the heating problem... just search for "overheating" or other variations of the word or phrases. You'll find it's a common problem.
