IAC bad, now engine revs constantly

I was driving and when i slipped it in neutral, the engine revved from idle to about 3K over and over, i took it to one of those tire places and they ran a diagnostic and told me it was the idle air control module, Honda wants $400+ for the part tho, so i guess ill just have to drive it revving until i get the cash. Is this bad for my car??

I'm wondering if this is the same problem I had with my first 4th gen. I brought it to a shop and he flushed the throttle body... didn't work; noticed the spring was out of place in the idle control and ran fine when he put it back in place. Sorry to hear man, I know that crap is annoying!

are you sure? because there is one on ebay but it looks different from the one on my H23a1, but it seems that the black plug is the same and the holes and screw holes line up
