I had the gude cams when I had my h23. I boned out on my friend's bone stock 5th gen even though he got the jump at the light - got a little distracted by a cute girl walking down the street I also had an intake, stock exhaust, dc headers, 100 lbs. of stereo equipment, and an extra battery in the car. You'll need to adjust your idle though - maybe. The guy I sold them to said his car wouldn't hold idle, but it worked on my car.

Any new info on this? I am looking into getting cams for my SI and would like to know who offers the best cam. Crowers site says that they only offer cams for the H22, Gude says that their cams only produce powr from 5000 RPM to redline. Redline is just over 6 grand so that sucks. And JG has no power claims on there site. Does anyone else offer cams for the H23? Who has the best cams?

I don't think there are any new cams out there for our cars, only regrinds.

I know crower doesn't even make cams for our car, so your choice is Gude or JG. I can't think of any other companies that make H23 cams, unless you get them custom made.

As far as performance, I have no clue. I've heard both are pretty good over stock

Like I said about the gudes, I want more than just a bump in power between 5000 RPM an redline. Have you ever heard anything about webcams? They have h23 regrinds.

The guy i bought this 93 Si from said he used to have the JG cams/valves/retainers, the whole package (1300 dollars).
He claimed he could hang with the vtec ludes with that. Which im assuming is driver dependant. I could beat a vtec lude if the guy cant drive. But right now this h23 has re-grinded cams in it and it runs really strong. And the guy i bought it from is a personnal friend and he said "omg, you shoulda sat in it w/ the cams..." so im assuming its substantially noticeable. Still.. no hard #'s

If this engine had less miles, like 90summin's id do the cam package and maybe some internal work. But im pushing 123k miles. Gonna just swap for a h22a next year.

My 2 cents, go for the JG ive heard nothing but good things.

peace,
Crate
