I recently bought a Quaife LSD from some guy, brand new for 600. he says hes in the army and that he was gonna ship it out on Wednesday and e-mail me when he ships it with all the info.
He hasn't e-mailed me and hasn't returned any of my e-mails.
I spoke to him on the phone on Saturday, I pay paled him $600 and got an e-mail saying he was happy with the quik response and he was shipping it wednesday, haven't heard anything since.
if it was through paypal and you never receive your item, i'm sure that they have some sort of system to track someone, since you do have to open an account (you might be able to fake the name, but not the bank info)...i'd email him back, wait a few more days and see what happens. he might have had to go on TDY or out to the field or some other bull****...

if he is paypal verified.. you should be fine. even if he does rip you off, ive heard that paypal will compensate you for you loss. dont get too worried too early though, things come up. give him time.
I got ripped off through a guy at parts trader.com and he was verified through paypal and I filed a complaint through them and because he was verified they got me my money back a few weks later so wait a few more days then do what you got to do. I am military so I know sh!t comes up all the time w/o notice.

Just be patient, I wouldn't get worried for at least two weeks after \ he received payment. I really hate when people aren't timely about shipping but face it, some people aren't.
