i think i found my tranny problem *pic*

heyyyy, i bet this is a problem huh? can anyone find the problem in this pic?



that is a view of underneath the little box where the linkage connects to the tranny. as you can see, the little "groove" that usually has a knob in it that moves it back and forth to select the gears is quite worn! this would explain me losing 1st, 3rd, and 5th gear. every time the knob goes to push up, there is nothing there since its worn off! so hopefully ill replace this part so its driveable for now then get the reverse fixed sometime later. i think its just the reverse fork that needs replaced so that shouldnt be too bad.

Hopefully this will slove your problem and you won't have to end up rebuilding you tranny or anything.

some people couldnt tell what area i was talking about so here you go. this area should not be worn like that....i dont know what would cause so much wear though
