I think I fixed my hesistaion

Hey guys,

Since I swapped my H22 in I had been having some bogging problems. I figured out that it was running VERY rich. I decided to change the O2 sensor and that fixed the problem. 100% running lude again

I also took some pics of the final product, what do you think?

Here are my gauges. I modified them so I would have a proper redline (there was no way I was going to shift that far into redline).

Here you can see the VTEC wire install. My car was prewired for VTEC. You can see in the first one the VTEC solenoid wire.

Here you can see the plug that the oil pressure sensor wire is in.

And here you have the most beautiful site yet.

Here you can see where we put my MSD Blaster SS coil, props to my Dad.

Once again I thanks everyone on this site for their help and support.

do a search here in the 4th gen forum for a thread titled hesitation. Its about 6 pages long. should help you out there. as for the bouncy idle, its probably your fast idle valve.

jason, looks good howd ya do those gauges?

No, I haven't. The motor ran like a champ for like 8 days after I got it back. Then took a crap on my way back from the track one night, so unless two vacuum lines got together and magically planned a switch without me knowing, they should all be the same as when it ran like a bat outta hell!

Hey guys,

Well as far as the hesitation goes, I may have prematurely spoken. The damn thing came back!! I got rather annoyed but then I figured it out. I didn't set the timing right

When I checked the timing today I was about 10 degrees retarded (might be the cause ). After I set that the car runs like a champ.

As for the gauges, it wasn't easy. I had an extra set of EL gauges laying around so I decided to experiment. You can take out the overlay (part of part 7 in this pic)

Then I just used a very sharp knife and about 5 hours and carefully scratched away the paint on both sides of the overlay. Then I went out and got some blue film and put it behind the clear part and it was finished. For those who are doing the blue gauge conversion and don't like the green tint the stock color leaves you can just scratch off the green on the back of the overlay.

I have a spare overlay (the stock Si one I replaced), I might do a write-up on how to do this.

Thanks for the comments,
